A BOYS TRAINING IN GODLY MANHOOD

Let's face it. When asked to define a real man, many cannot provide a clear answer. The subject of manhood in culture today can be confusing.  There is a lack of role models.  The media's portrayal of men is often either demeaning, aggressive, or altogether absent. The world is quick to point out what not to do or be but provides no guidance or clarity of what a real man is.  Boys are often confused and frustrated. Amid this confusion, their identity as a child of God can be lost.

Kingdom Knights is a program designed to partner with fathers and men in the community in raising boys to become God's definition of a man. This group for tween boys (grades 4th - 6th) and their fathers/father figure teaches lessons in an age-appropriate format designed to be engaging and interactive. Lessons are aimed at saturating the boys' minds with Biblical truths so they can recognize false messages. The time spent at Kingdom Knights each week helps them discover healthy role models and mentors as men rise to the challenge of investing in the next generation.

TOPICS TACKLED IN KINGDOM KNIGHTS

Seeds of Purpose has designed a curriculum that teaches tween boys everything from what to expect during puberty, to how to have an intentional Bible study. This engaging program is specially designed with a lot of hands on object lessons, fully embracing the need for boys to be active and move around. The lessons focus on such things like leadership development, physical changes, spiritual growth and how to treat a lady. In the process, this ministry empowers fathers with the necessary tools to connect with and guide his son towards manhood.

KINGDOM KNIGHTS CEREMONY

After completing their first year of Kingdom Knights, where the boys participate as apprentices, they are now ready to be named as pages and given their father’s blessing. In this ceremony, they are charged with putting into practice all that they have learned. The Kingdom Knights End of Year Ceremony marks an important milestone.

Boys who have completed the second year of Kingdom Knights will receive a special gift in honor of their completion and have a short video slideshow about themselves in the ceremony. They will be prayed over in their journey through adolescence, and they will be presented with their unique family crest.
